Welcome to EverShelf, operated by Joshumi Technologies LLC. By creating an account or using the EverShelf application ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
EverShelf is a food storage tracking and meal planning application. It helps users catalog food items, track expiration dates, plan meals, discover recipes, and share surplus food with friends.
You must be at least 13 years old to use EverShelf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree not to:
EverShelf is a convenience tool only. The Service is not a substitute for professional food safety guidance. Specifically:
EverShelf allows users to share surplus food items with friends. When participating in community sharing:
EverShelf's free tier includes a personal preparedness plan, unlimited inventory items and inventory scanning, inventory and expiration overviews, and community sharing. EverShelf Premium adds meal plans built around your inventory, recipe suggestions and saved recipes, AI-powered recipe creation and scanning, and priority support.
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, recipes, descriptions). By uploading content, you grant EverShelf a limited, non-exclusive license to use, display, and store that content solely to provide and improve the Service.
You may not post content that is threatening, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, sexually explicit, illegal, or otherwise objectionable. Community message text may be screened by an automated moderation service before posting. Community conversations also include in-app controls to report or block another user. We may review reports and remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.
The EverShelf name, logo, and application code are the property of Joshumi Technologies LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.
Food product data obtained from Open Food Facts is available under the Open Database License (ODbL); Open Food Facts product images are available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA), subject to any additional rights shown on product packaging. Retailer names, product names, images, and links remain the property of their respective owners.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Account deletion removes EverShelf-controlled account data, uploaded media, food storage items, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, friend connections, chat messages, and the associated subscription-management customer profile. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Termination of your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions — you must cancel subscriptions separately through your App Store or Google Play settings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EverShelf and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
